This card can not thank you enough. Thank you for

I read Willie McQueen’s

I didn’t see any contact information for Willie. Would you happen to have a

Lisa & John: ANSWERED
PRAYER & DELIVERANCE
Thanks, friends for writing and praying. I think I HAVE been
devoured...I've been reduced to an exhausted shell. However, the Lord
has never abandoned me. The Enemy has persuaded me that I am
unacceptable to be around, which has resulted in my becoming a recluse;
but I will take your advice and ignore him and get back into
fellowship. After all, there is worse than being uncomfortable
around people! Thanks for your continued prayers. God Bless.

Dear
Lisa, 9-20-07 COMPLIMENT ON WEBSITE
The website, "A Time 2 Heal" is awesome, and I have been enjoying
reading the testimonies of those healed and delivered. I am also happy
that you and Melissa have a great mother-daughter relationship.
I need to tell you, when I was little, I was hyperactive, angry,
defiant, on Ritalin. When I prayed to receive Jesus when I was 7, those
behaviors largely disappeared. I was more obedient and calmer. However,
the devil got started just about right away, striking doubt into my
heart. My question is: can a person pray to receive Christ, but need to
have a separate event of having a baptism of the Holy Spirit? I grew up
believing that one receives the Holy Spirit at the same time as becoming
a Christian.
It has taken me years to rebuild my faith and I have more questions, but
I'll ask some more in subsequent emails. Thanks again for responding to
God's call and setting up a website that gives hope to others. You are
precious.
-Christy
Lisa's Response: Yes, there are actually three baptism's listed in
the Bible, all are separate from receiving Christ. The baptism of John,
the baptism of remission of sins--turning from sins. The water baptism
Jesus demonstrated as a sample that he was transformed. And the laying
on of hands, for the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of
speaking in tongues as indicated in Acts 1.

 Dear
Mrs. Freeman 8-16-07 PORN & INCEST
You don't know me but I happened to cross your website as I was
searching for something in relating to Christian divorce relating to
my husband who was a minister and had gotten heavy into porn, incest,
and also child porn without my knowledge on the child porn and
incest. This has happened in the last year and now he is serving 10
years in prison for this. I am struggling with the issue over
divorce and what the Bible seems to say about it.
If you could help me in this and point me to others views on the subject
I would greatly appreciate it. I have talked to a counselor about all
this and also my minister of the church that I go to. Thanks,
Judy
 Hi
Lisa: 9-6-07 HELPFUL WEBSITEI'm 41, accepted Christ in
1992, but have struggled with many issues for a very long time. I'm in my
4th Marriage and honestly I'm tired of running around the mountain looking
for everything under the sun (son) to help me feel better. I've done YEARS
of therapy & counseling. I have been searching & searching for a Pastoral
Counselor in my area, but where I live the Dalton Store is our mall. I too,
like you love to write and I have been working on a book about my trials &
tribulations as well as certain healing that the Lord has brought into my
life in many areas. I guess I'm just so frustrated at times that I have so
far to go and so little help to get there. I know, that Jesus can heal me
from my addictions to tobacco & pain killers, because he has taken away over
time, my desires for alcohol, affairs, cocaine, and other things, but I
still feel frustrated & feel like something is really missing inside of me.
I understand all to well that this too can be caused because of codependency
issues that I still struggle with, but man..... Some days I just feel like
crying & giving up! More often than not, it's just too easy to take the
pills & feel better for a little while, than to fight the urge and deal with
whatever issues are making me feel the way I do. I've been on the
internet for hours & days looking for some kind of Christian guidance, help,
understanding, something, anything... I honestly feel that the closest I've
even come is in finding your website.... I just wanted to say Thanks
for being brave & honest and thank you for your prayers!

I was so excited to read the article about
Helen McGarr,
the flautist, in you August issue! I'm all for modern Christian music, and
I love reading your articles on contemporary singers, but sometimes
classical music gets pushed to the side. I know some teens think hymns and
classical songs are boring, but that is not true! I love to play them on
my viola and piano - they are a beautiful and inspiring way to praise God.

AWESOME BOOK
My name is Aimee and I also live in Owosso. The place that I work has a
stack of your book "Run For Your Life". They give them out to
clients. I took the book home and read it in two days. I enjoy
reading books about real life. I finished this book and was wondering if
any more books from the series have come out. If they have where could I
buy them at? I think it is great that you shared all the troubles you had
when you were on the run. I could barely breath during some of the
parts. I haven't actually read a book in a couple of years, not since the
David Peltzer series came out. Thank you for helping me open up
another book.

Hi
Lisa, 4-25-07
PET THERAPY/ ANSWER TO PRAYER
I really feel like you are an answer to my prayers -
over 1,700 miles away. How could you not be? Let me explain...
My grandma will turn 89 on April 6th - we share the
same birthday. Last weekend she was told that she was going to have to
move to Pleasant View nursing home, from Rose Garden assisted living in
Owosso. I prayed that God would only let her go to the nursing home if it
were his will, so when it turned out that that is where she was going this
weekend, I was okay with it. I have complete security in knowing that God
is in control and I know that this is His will for her, though I had no
idea why. She seemed to be happy at Rose Garden - I couldn't see how a
nursing home could be a better option for her, but God knows best. As it
turned out, she sounds like she absolutely loves Pleasant View. My aunt
visited her today and found her playing a game of kickball with a bunch of
other residents in their wheel chairs. She said she was laughing her head
off. Amazing. God is soooo amazing.
So how/why did I find you? I was just ordering some
flowers from my own company, to send to my grandma, and it occurred to me
that I didn't have her new mailing address yet. No problem, I figured a
simple Google search would take care of that. So, I searched for the
nursing home and your website was the first result on Google. I am
ecstatic to see that you visit the nursing home every week with your
little dog! I had 2 therapy dogs at one time, and visited nursing homes
with them. They have both since died, but they were so wonderful and
the residents, at the nursing homes, loved them. I think I got more out of
it than the residents did. It was so amazing to see how much a simple
visit; a simple smile; a simple pet of a dog's head; could mean to these
people. Tears would come to their eyes, and memories would pour from their
mouths, about pets they had in the past. So I have a special request for
you. The next time you are at Pleasant View, could you be soooo kind as to
visit my grandma for me? Her name is Anne Moberg. I have been praying that
Christian women will come along side of her and will show her the love
that Jesus has for her. She is a very humble and sweet lady with a good
heart. She is cheerful and a joy. I don't even know for sure if you are a
Christian, but I have a feeling that you are, because God led me to you at
this perfect moment.
Thank you for all you do and for sharing your story
with children-- that is awesome and powerful. If you do see my grandma,
please tell her that her granddaughter in Wyoming is thinking of her and
loves her.-April Poley

WEBSITE ENCOURAGED THIS SINGLE MOM
I was searching online for what
materials and resources are out there for the abused single
mother and I came across your website. My heart sank. I thought all my
work for the past fifteen years was for nothing. God gently guided me back
to your works online to read more about your writing. Now I feel
encouraged.
God has helped me raise my daughter, who was diagnosed with Tourette's
Syndrome , O. C. D. and ADHD when she was seven. We were on our own after I
ended my marriage to an abusive husband who sounds a lot like the boy in
what I read (First Chapter) from your book: Run For Your Life. I also felt a
need to write of my experiences and try to help those who are still going
through the nightmare we have suffered. I recently lost a friend and her 15
year-old daughter, both were shot by an abusive husband. The need is out
there and I am very glad you are doing all you are for God's Kingdom!
I will continue to write the book, I promised God, to help others "run for
their lives" and how they can get help. I also hitchhiked across a few
states with him when I was 18, from Illinois to Denver in 1984, so I know
what the night feels like when it's all around you and your only hope seems
to lie in the man with you and the headlights streaming by.
Psalm 4:8
May I put your information about your books and website into the Resources
Section for others to find? I have a website (
http://hometown.aol.com/angilwytr/AngelWryterParentsNews.html )
but I really need to update it. I'm not much of a speaker, so I can point
them to you.
Again, thank you for the encouragement your ministry brings and
may God bless and keep you and your family safe, healthy and happy!

Thank you Lisa & John Freeman! 10-9-06 HEALING
My name is Ethel L. Buchanan. I was surfing around the Internet trying to
find Women’s Ministries and Youth Ministries about a year ago, and found
“A Time To Heal Ministry”. I was entering a season of my life where I
needed someone to talk to, and to confide in about many issues in my life. I
looked at the website of John and Lisa Freeman who founded this ministry.
Looking at the format of the website, the content and just the faces of
these two dedicated people made me feel I had known them a long time, and I
had never met them yet.
I began to click around on the website and read many interesting articles
and projects that the Freeman’s were engaged in. Lisa’s ministry is to
those who need healing in the mind, heart, soul and body. I found myself
wanting to click on everything at once, because I could relate to so many of
the comments that others had left on her website. As I browsed through the
many accomplishments of this awesome woman, I continued to read how she gave
glory to God for everything she had been through and how God gave her
strength and courage to press on through each adversity.
Her testimony encouraged me and just the fact that so many others had
logged onto her website with testimonies of what Lisa’s website and ministry
has done for them, gave me the courage to make a decision. I emailed Lisa
with a testimony of my own. She emailed me back right away and asked for
permission to use my testimony on her website. Nothing at all selfish about
this woman of God She shares in your sorrow and shares in your joy. I had
some pressing needs in my life at one point and she and her family bonded
together to assist me in every way they were able, and I don’t mean just one
time either. She even sent me a copy of her book “Run For Your Life” in
which she describes her life as a teenager on the run. This is an awesome
story, she hides nothing in this book. She called me from time to time to
find out how I was doing. We talked about each others family, ministry, our
health etc. For me it was like chatting with a blood sister. Her daughter
sent me a picture she drew for me. To this day she still emails me at least
once a week to check on me.
Is Lisa’s life just PERFECT? Is her family PERFECT? No, but the God they
serve is perfect and they are living what they preach. What I’m saying is
that this woman of God has issues in her own life that truly demand
attention just as we all do. But her ministry is important to her and the
work of God takes first place. Anyone who views her website and takes time
to look and read it, will see the many churches and organizations that
request her for speaking engagements, people who write to her thanking her
for her help whether with prayer, counseling etc. The stages and seasons of
our lives take time to be torn down, to hurt; and they take time to be built
back up, to heal. God has given Lisa Freeman and her family actually, the
gift of healing in so many ways. Whether it’s a kind word or deed,
whether it’s from her or her husband, or one of the children, or just a
short paragraph on a wonderful website, A Time To Heal Ministry is taking
the Internet by storm. From your first contact with them; you are ready to
take the band aid off your scars in life, and you find yourself HEALED!

Lisa: 7-9-2006 AMAZING ARTICLE
I just wanted to follow up with you on the wonderful article you did
on our son, Chris
"SK8ter Boi". We have had e-mails and visits from people all
around the country. I must tell you that a family actually came out
of their way, flew into Atlanta and drove to Chattanooga just so
their daughter, who receives the Sweet 16 magazine, and their son,
who is a skater, could meet and skate with Chris.
He has now moved the skate shop to a new location, larger and more
visible! Chris took the ACT and scored 30. He will be attending
Middle College in the fall at Chattanooga State. When he graduates
in two years he will have a high school diploma and an associates
degree. All classes are college level and he has chosen the honor
program.
Thank you again for your time and this great article that we will
always love and cherish.

Lisa,
WEBSITE
It never ceases to amaze me at how God works in
our lives and is doing so all the time. (Without any help from us I
must say). For the past few months a lot of changes have taken place
in my life and I have been questioning whether or not I was heading in
the right direction ( let me rephrase--in the "God direction"). I was
once again struggling with the indecision that sometimes seems to
flood my life, and God led me to your site, A Time 2 Heal
Ministries. After inquiring about a book on Divorce, I was
blessed with much more than the answer I was seeking. God had a bigger
plan ( He always does!) he blessed me with a new friend (Lisa) and
prayer partner. After sharing a few personal things and some prayer,
God let me know (through Lisa) that I was on the right track, to speak
it, and know it, and Joy would come. I was so blessed to have
had the chance to come across your website and to have
the chance, although miles apart to be blessed with Gods words from
your lips and a new friend--Thank You, Lisa--- God Bless you and may
you prosper in all things according to Gods plan...

Hi Elisabeth, INSPIRING ARTICLE
I recently read your article
Just One Look
at Christian Women Today. Thank you for speaking
out on this issue. It has been in the closet far too long, especially in
Christian circles. Unfortunately, I think it may be more common than we
realize. My heart's desire is to see people set free from this
addition. It is a difficult issue, but one that can destroy marriages
and lives. Keep up the great work you are doing.

I just thank God for your website. I found it about 2

identify with part of your testimony because I have been married twice. Both
marriages and divorces were very painful for me. I have read and reread
Jeremiah's testimony also. I have a friend with bipolar so it just encourages
me to believe God for this persons healing. Your husband's testimony is great
also. May God bless your website to reach millions of people so they can be

READ TESTIMONIES
Ethel L. Buchanan
I read
your story on Christian Women Today. As I was reading your story, I was looking
at myself and my marriage in the mirror.
I will never forget in January of 2002 when I
found out that not only was my husband looking at forbidden sites but he was
also going to massage parlors. When I found out my whole world collapsed!
It has been three years now and I am still
not over it. My husband claims that he is not doing anything, but in the back of
my mind I still question him and his honesty. We have gone to counseling and we
attend church on a regular basis. We also started praying together but I can not
seem to bring myself to forgive him.
I really want to trust and believe in my
husband again, but it is so hard. My husband and I were separated for at least a
year during this time. We lived in separate households. We moved back in
together in November 2003. I thought I was ready but I guess I was not because I
still harbor bitterness.
I am desperately seeking help not only for my
marriage but for me. I am constantly sick with chest pains and headaches. I have
been to doctor after doctor and I have been told that nothing is wrong with me,
so this just leads me to believe that it must be emotional.
Another
Devastating Letter:
Thank you Lisa for your prayers.
God knows when to send a word of encouragement. On Wednesday night I discovered
that my husband is looking at these sites again. He told me that he does not
literally type in the URL address; he states that he gets all of these pop-ups
and one night out of curiosity he clicked on it. I am really devastated right
now. I ask that you please keep me in your prayers. He admitted that he has a
problem and he wants us to work out our marriage but I just do not know what to
do
What God Has Done:
Things are going. We are still together I just do not
know what to do.
I am praying and asking God for guidance. I am like God
where are you and why haven't you answered me. All I keep hearing is "be still".
I am still doing the things that God has called me to
do not missing a beat. The devil thought he would destroy my spirit but NOT SO!
I have started this women's group (it has been in the making for a long time)
and we have been doing community outreach activities.
I took two vacation days off from work preparing for
today. We delivered 200 bags of candy and flowers to homeless women and
tomorrow we will deliver 100 flowers to women at the assisted living center for
Mother's Day.
We have booked a hotel for the next 6 months. I believe
that God is calling women to a whole new level. I know that God has His hand on
this ministry and I know that some exciting things are going to come.
There is so much more than I am conveying in this email
but God has called me to do this ministry and I have been knowing for years and
not walking in my calling. So, no matter what the enemy throws my way I refuse
to get sidetracked this time, I am moving forward full force!
And to answer your question, yes, you may share my
story with others. I want to help in anyway I can.
Lisa, I want to thank you for your prayers and being an
CYBERSPACE FRIEND. I love you and appreciate you.
Testimony
I did find your testimony helpful, sometimes
it seems a powerful one to share with one’ (my) teenage daughter, but they are
living in a different society than I was, and I feel it is important for her as
well as others to read about what can happen.
And as for me, as I shared I went through a
divorce after 21 years, and found myself struggling for financial help as well
as continued spiritual help, reading your testimony does let someone no matter
what they’ve been through see that God takes care of us!!! Yes, I have looked
at more of your website and I am pleased with it, and pray that God will
continue to use you and your family.
As I also mentioned, I’m
still struggling with facing the children’s father in court, it is just simple
hearings for non support and support increases, but when sometimes you think of
it, its not suppose to be that way, and as a mother that is living for the Lord,
I still have to teach my children that they do love their father, and that can
only come by the Grace of God.
My children now are 8, 15 and 20 – so in the
almost 4 years of their father’s absence in the home, they have struggled as
well, but they do know the Lord as their Savior.
Their father is a Christian man that fell by the wayside and hurt their children
deeply as well as myself, but we do know he hurt the
Lord as well.
So we as Christians can fall too, but with
the helps of many ministries, including what your web has to offer, we can
“Press On” .
I know the darts will still be thrown our
way, to try and hurt us and make us stumble, so please continue to pray for my
children and myself.
God Bless,
Vicki
I did some
more visiting today – on your site. I don’t get on here much. I read about
Brian!! I’m so touched by “your miracle child” and his testimony in
Change of Heart – He is in our prayers, as well as you and your family.

OCD This letter especially touches my heart; it's from
a precious teenager--CARA
Thank you for getting back to me!! I'm very happy and
I'm glad that I came to you. You're very wise and thank God for people like
you! It's great to see that there are people in the world who REALLY live by
Christ's word. It makes me feel secure to know that, and I'm going to do my
very best to live by it to!
Again, thank you for EVERYTHING. You very well may have
changed my life forever,Love,
Thank you so very much for your wonderfully prompt and
caring reply to my question about OCD: that is Christian compassion indeed. Much
appreciated.
I am not on any medication for my OCD. I was prescribed
an SSRI some years ago but decided not to take it due to problems with drugs and
alcohol that I suffered very badly from in my pre-Christian days, and which made
me ill, scaring me off medication for life.
My OCD has actually improved beyond all measure since I
became a Christian, and could be said to be residual; but it's still
debilitating. It's interesting what you said about thoughts being what the Enemy
most likes to attack, because it's when my thoughts are negative towards other
people that I find myself being subject to unwanted unpleasant thoughts, almost
as if I've given the Enemy permission to invade my mind. Then I become so angry,
and on occasion I blame God, when it's my fault for being negative in the first
place. Also, I can be very lax when it comes to putting on the full armor of
God, which as you so rightly point is paramount when it comes to keeping our
minds free from attack.
Your words were very consoling, thank you, and I will
return to Ephesians 6 forthwith: I'd earlier read something at another site to
the effect that OCD is a punishment for failing faith, but couldn't agree with
that as Biblical, given that I'd suffered far worse from OCD prior to becoming a
Christian. Moreover I've always been of the school that God Himself keeps us as
His Word promises and will never fail nor forsake us. And that He understands
our weaknesses and forgives us when they get the better of us and we behave
badly. I'm sure you agree with me?
Thanks again, and may the Lord continue blessing your
precious ministry.
~Bob
