"After I graduated from high school everyone thought I had it together, but on the inside I was crumbling. I couldn't shake what my biological father had done to me. I wanted to die, listened to music about suicide, and even hung out in the cemetery talking to dead people. At one point I started hearing voices telling me to hurt myself and others.
Whenever I was in pain, I'd go to my room and cut myself like I'd done since my early teen years. No one else knew because I wore long pants and shirts to cover my cuts.
One day when I was upset, I grabbed a knife from the kitchen, slit my arm, and nearly died. Thankfully, my parents found me, God saved me, and healed me. Now I share my testimony to help others break free from cutting, depression, & suicidal thoughts."
